“Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would win a Golden Globe! And to be the first woman to win with a song in Italian… I am truly overwhelmed. What an honor.”
Afirma Pausini, prosseguindo: “I want to thank Sophia Loren and Edoardo Ponti for making me part of this wonderful adventure. Thank you to the musical genius that is Diane Warren, to the music supervisor Bonnie Greenberg and, Niccolò Agliardi. It just happens to be the 28th anniversary of the first time I performed in San Remo and that completely changed my life. I smile, thinking of that young girl that never would have thought she would get this far. I dedicate this award to Italy, my family, and my daughter, whom I hope remembers the happiness she sees in her mother’s eyes and to never give up on her dreams.”
